&Anthony Leary, known as "Ant" to many was born October 25, 1967 to the parentage of Mary Leary and the late Fred Leary, Sr. He will long be remembered for his warm and radiant personality. He was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger.
Ant graduated from Macon County High School in 1987. He enlisted into the United States Army in the summer of 1987. He was a Desert Storm Veteran. He was honorably discharged in 1991.
Ant was a lover of people, and anything that he could do for you he would without a word.
After serving his country he went to the work for Blue Bird Body Company. He later went to work for Airhead Fiber Glass andLockheed Martin for several years. His last place of employment before his health failed was Trans South.
In January 2010 he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Shelia Leary. To this union no children were born.
Ant and his brother Defrance started a Recreational Football team known as the "Ravens" in 2012.
Ant confessed Christ as his personal Savior and joined Fellowship Temple of the Living God under theLeadershipofPastor Kimberly Hill.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Leary, Sr. and his maternal grandfather, Willie Tucker, paternal grandparents, Elijah and Rosa Mae Leary.
On Thursday, February 2, 2017 @ 2:58 p.m. the Lord opened his loving arms and called him from labor to reward.
He leaves to mourn his passing a wife, Shelia Leary, three daughters: Sheangle Leary of Atlanta, GA, Jakesica Leary of Henderson, GA, and Shalyica Leary of Warner Robins, GA; two granddaughters, a very devoted mother Mary Leary of Fort Valley, GA; three brothers: Fred Leary and Marvin (Barbara) Leary of Fort Valley and Defrance (Lashawn) Leary, Sr. and two sisters: Deatrice Leary of Warner Robins, GA. and Ann Leary of Fort Valley; grandmother Liza Mae Banks of Fort Valley, GA; ten aunts, Ernestine (Jimmy) Harris, Christine Johnson, Eloise (Frankie) Smith, Anna Mae Richardson, Betty Gibson and Jeanette Thomas all of Fort Valley, GA, Essie (Willie) Cotton, Bernice Leary, Rosa Maria Mitchell, Ruth Mae (Billie) Jackson all of Marshallville, GA., and Mattie Daniely of Rochester ofNew York; six uncles: Willie (Betty) Leary, Leo (Joyce Ann) Banks, Cornelius Tucker, and Marion (Delois) Tucker of Fort Valley, GA., Elijah Leary of Lindon, New Jersey and Erneste Banks of Cincinnati, Ohio; great aunts: Betty Lowe and Bunny Kate Girdner of Fort Valley, GA.,Gracie Pastor and Ida Lowe of Marshallville, GA and Ela Lee of Rochester, New York; one great uncle, James (Rose) Leary of Warner Robins, GA. A devoted friend, Shericka Rumph; a very devoted cousin like a brother Marium Harris; a niece he reared as his own Tiasheree Davis; nine other nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and close friends.
