Obituary

Atlanta, Georgia- Ms. Antionette Mathis passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Atlana Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015&at 11:00 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Fort Valley, Georgia.


Antoinette Louise Robinson Mathis, daughter of Ora Lee and step-dad,Leevander Hemphill, Sr. and father, John A. Taylor was born August 17, 1968 in Syracuse, New York. After moving to Georgia she enrolled in
Peach County Public Schools. "Nette" as she was affectionately called was a loving person with a passion for
babies and children.
With a genuine love and desire to commit: therefore, on Friday, June 13,1986 Miss Antoinette Louise Robinson
was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Eddie Frank Mathis. To this union one son was born. They have enjoyed
twenty-nine years of marriage bliss. "Nette" worked in the Bakery on Base inCamppendlton, California; (the only job she ever worked outside of the home).


She was preceded in death by her father, John A Taylor; a beloved grandmother Mildred Robinson and her mother-in-law, Sarah Mathis.
On Sunday, October 18, 2015 Antoinette entered the silent halls of death at the Atlanta Medical Center East, Atlanta, Georgia.
She is survived by: her husband of 29 years, Eddie Mathis; son, Edward J. Mathis; parents, Ora Lee (Leevander) Hemphill, Sr.; twin granddaughters, Evan and Erin Mathis; grandfather, Jessie Taylor; one sister, Mary Gomes;
brothers and their spouses: Leevander Hemphill, Jr. (Sally), George Hemphill (Veronica) and Christopher Hemphill (Ashley); father-in-law, Willie Frank"Jim" Mathis (Helen); 6 sisters-in-law: Gloria D. Jones, Brenda (Donald) Williams, Patricia Matthews, Barbara (Bobby) Causey, Barbara (Lee) Wornum and Francis (Richard) Smith; 2 brothers-in-law,
Willie Matthews (Carol) and Tommy Mathis; aunts (reared as her sisters): Linda (Eric) Robinson, Sr. and Mildred (Frank) Parks and aunt Emma Jean Clear; uncles (reared as her brothers): James Robinson (Angela), Michael,
Nathaniel, Robert, Johnny Robinson (Sandra), Lamar Robinson (Alexis); host of great aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends including a special friend, Lessie Mallory and a special cousin EJ who was like a son.
