Fort Valley, Georgia - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Bernice S. Hillsman of 901 Edward Street.& Mrs. Hillsman passed away in the early morning hours on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her residencewhile surrounded by her husband and family.Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the family has elected to comply with Governor Brian KempEmergency Guideline Mandates the CDC, and DPH;thereby electing to have a graveside service in an effort to attempt to minimize the exposure of the general public to COVID-19. However, the family will plan, organize, and announce a sufficient memorial service at a later time.

Visitation will be conducted at the CJ Edwards Funeral Home Chapel beginning on Sunday, March 29,2020 beginning at4pm until8 pm. We are asking for everyone to practice social distancing and for no more than 10 people to assemble or congregate at a single given time. unless they remain at least 6 ft apart. Everyone is asked to assemble in order to view in staggered time increments. The funeral home will provide a hand washing station and hand sanitizer for the public.
