Her Journey
Collis "Carla" Chambliss was called home in the early hours of Friday, February 24, 2023.
Carla, as she was officially called, daughter of late Tommy Lee Thomas and Linda Mae Williams, was born on July 5,1964 in Fort Valley, Georgia.
Predeceased her in death are both parents and four children Micheal Jr. Larry Jr., Kenutay, and Corsica Beretta Lowe.
Collis lived a large portion of her early life in Byron, Georgia and attended Public School System of Peach County. She then went on to receive multiple degrees and trade at varies schools, in which she loved and adored.
Shortly before this time she met her then husband Mr. Lowe, with whom she was blessed with five children,
Quinteria (Mario) Adams, Quintaybus Lowe, Quinterrica ( Dennis) Plant, Quintorya Lowe and Quintaysha Lowe.
Collis joined The Church of God by Faith INC. origination at a very early age, there she served Faithfully and with Cheer.
It wasn't long before she started her career at Stepping Stones Early Child Development Center where she spent 22 years until her health failed.
Collis loved her career and the people she worked with especially Shelia Rucker. She resigned from Stepping Stones in 2022.
In 2017, Collis met and married her now husband, Mr. Will Chambliss, No children were born to this union. Mr. Chambliss has two sons,
Will Jr. and Brandon Chambliss.
Collis joined Shield of Faith and there she served Faithfully and with Joy.
Collis has ten siblings, seventeen grandchildren, one great-grand on the way, and a host of nieces, nephews,and friends.
