With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of our Father, Counsel Caldwell, Sr, who departed this life on April 18, 2026 at the age of 88 to the Kingdom of Glory. . Counsel Caldwell, Sr was born on January 20, 1938 in Marshaville, Ga to Joseph Caldwell and Margaret Olgesby Caldwell. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose kindness, wisdom, and strength touched the lives of many. He was known for his warm smile, strong faith, hardworking spirit, sense of humor, generosity, and service to his Church and Family. He dedicated his life to ministry, community work, and volunteering. His legacy of faith, love and service will continue through all who knew him. He cherished time spent with family and friends and found joy in Fishing, traveling, going to car shows,, flea markets, and collecting model cars and antiques. He loved to work out at the gym in the early morning hours and beat his grandkids in push-ups and racing at 80 yrs young. He loved his dog Skeeter and passed on his love of animals through to his children. Counsel was a dedicated employee of The Tarrytown Municipal Housing Authority where he retired after 25 yrs of exemplary service. He was known as Mr. “C”, Coco, and Popi by his grandkids. He leaves to cherish his memory: Rosetta Caldwell Anderson, the Mother of his 3 children; Counsel Jr, Bronx, NY ( Melanie) Janice Walters, Fresno, Ca ( Warren deceased)Marcie Caldwell, Tarrytown, NY (Patrick Aitkens) grandchildren; Lavon Jones, Craig Walters, Starr Caldwell, Justin Walters, Jessica Walters Goodwin (JaMark), Azon Aitkens and Storm Savage. 7 Great Grands; Saniah Caldwell, Ky’Arah Walters Goodwin, Autumn Caldwell, Kape Walters, Indie Walters, Khali Goodwin, Kalm Goodwin. Siblings; Estell Caldwell Marshaville)Jimmy Caldwell, Marshaville ( Francis) Willie Caldwell (Warner Robbins) and a host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones, including Skeeter. He was preceded in death by: His father Joseph Caldwell, Sr and mother Margaret Olgesby Caldwell; siblings Millie Burnem, Joseph Caldwell, Andrew Caldwell (AJ) , Martha Plant, Nathaniel Caldwell, and his beloved niece Joanne Walker. Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, lessons, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever. Take your Rest Popi.
