Every Life Has A Story…

Mr. Edward Skinner, Jr. was born on June 16, 1954 to Mrs. Ocie Lee Williams Skinner and the late Edward Skinner, Sr.

On Friday, August 28, 2015 at home; God spoke to him" You have fought a good fight and the battle is over". Now he is needed in Heaven to harvest the green grass on the inside of the Pearly Gates.

At an early age, Edward moved to Fort Myers, Florida where he lived most of his life. There he met and married Edna Thompson, who preceded him in death on July 17, 2015.

Edward was employed at Wal-Mart of Fort Myers, Florida for many years until his health failed. After his health failed, he and his wife move to Dunn, North Carolina to reside for only a couple of years; after his wife passed he move back to his hometown, Marshallville, Georgia where he left his footprints.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Skinner, Sr.; two brothers, Michael and Ricky Skinner; one sister, Ocie Mae Skinner and his wife, Edna T. Skinner.

Left to cherish his memories are: his loving mother, Ocie L. Skinner of Fort Myers, FL; two sons, Christopher B. Skinner, Sr. of Warner Robins, GA; Edward Skinner III of Fort Myers, FL; two daughters, Elizabeth McIver of Warner Robins, GA, Lesley Skinner of Fort Myers, FL; one step daughter, Lawanda Thompson; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Johnny L. Skinner of Jacksonville, FL; 4 sisters: Penny Skinner and Juanita McNeal both of Fort Myers, FL; 2 devoted sisters: Ruth Felton and Trisia Skinner both of Marshallville, GA; special thanks to two nieces: Consuella Smith of Marshallville, GA and Tywanza Skinner Hallett of Fort Valley, GA; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a devoted caregiver Richard "Hawk" Richardson.
