Eva Mae Jackson Harris was born June 16, 1929, in Fort Valley, Ga.&to the parentage of the late Sam and Lillie Mae Milton Jackson. She was reared in a loving and Christian home.

Eva was educated in the Peach County School System and graduated from H.A. Hunt High School in 1948. In 1969 Eva graduated from Fort Valley State University with a degreein Home Economics and a minor in Early Childhood Education.

On June 23, 1952 Eva married the love of her life, James R. Harris and to this union three children were born: Overt, Kim and Muriel. Eva was a very proud, devoted wife and mother.

Preceding her in death were her husband James Harris, brothers; Judge and Midgle Varner, James Jackson and Samuel Jackson; Sisters, Doris Robinson and grandson, Kibrea Harris.

Eva departed this life on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She was surrounded by those she loved, her children, grands, sisters and other family members.

Eva leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Overt Harris - Fort Valley, Kimsley (Beverly) Harris and Muriel Dixon - Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters Flossie Wells - Ellenwood, Georgia, Loisteen (Lonnie) Mann - Atlanta, Georgia; Grandchildren: Lynette, Dinsley, Kibrea (deceased), Majiss, Demetrius, Candice, Lashaun, Tamyra, Duchess and John; ten great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Corrine Jackson - Atlanta, Georgia and Austine Pace of Philadelphia, PA.; Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
