Every Life Has A Story...

Mrs. Florence "Linda" Green Odom was born June 5, 1953 to Mr. George and Mrs. Sarah Mae Owens Green in Macon County, Marshallville, Georgia.& She received her elementary education at Lamson Richardson School; she was a graduate of the Historical D.F. Douglas High School. "Precious memories how they linger" as she so fondly talked of her days as a Majorette with the D.F. Douglas High School Marching Band under the Directorship of Mr. Edwin Breed.

At an early age she joined Bethel Baptist Church and began singing in the the Jr. Choir and later Linda joined the Sr. Choir where she remained a faithful member.

Miss Florence Green was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Eddie Odom and this union was blessed with 5 children; one son, Michael preceded her in death.

Linda will forever be remembered for her love for her family, friends and life.

In addition to her son, Michael; she was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eddie in 2009 and a brother, Charlie Green.

The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop at late or early hour. The clock of life for Linda came to a stop on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. For our Beloved, she bade no one good-bye, she was gone before we knew it and Only God knows why. Rest Dear Love, we love you but God loves you best.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four devoted children: Anthony George Green, Sedrick L. Odom, LaShonda O. (Andrew) Bell and Cateena Odom; 6 loving grandchildren; her siblings: George Green, Sandra (Robert) McGhee, Lonnie Ellison and Helen Green; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.

Homegoing Services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017, 1:30 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, Marshallville, GA with Pastor Preston D. King Officiating and burial will follow in Willowlake Memorial Garden Cemetery.
