Every Life Has A Story…

George David Freeman was born on July 24, 1957, in Fort Valley, GA to the late John Walker Freeman, Sr, and Isabel Person Freeman.&

He was raised in the Fort Valley community and received his formal education in the Peach County Public School System. After graduating in 1975, George enlisted in the United States Navy serving honorably between the years 1975-1979.

On February 12, 1988, George joined Miss Phaethon Ann Simmons in holy matrimony. This union was blessed with two daughters.

George attended Saint Luke's Episcopal Church.

George was a faithful employee for many years for companies Southern Perfection Fabrication in Byron, GA., and Arriscraft International in Fort Valley, GA. Welding and forklift operations were his areas of expertise.

Affectionately known as "Hany" amongst close friends, George enjoyed listening to music, working with his hands, making other people laugh, cooking, watching Grey's Anatomy, and offering a helping hand when needed.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, George passed away at the age of 62.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Phaethon Freeman; one son, Brittany of Florida and two daughters Cristie and Sadiqah of Fort Valley; a 5 months old granddaughter of Florida; one niece Katie of Washington, DC, and two brothers Clem and Melvin of Fort Valley, first cousins Carolyn and Gwendolyn and a host of other relatives and close friends including a devoted friend Deloris Trammell.
