Fort Valley, Georgia - Mrs. Gloria Elizabeth Davis Perry was born on February 24, 1946 to the late Mr. Johnnie and Mrs. Ruby Harris Davis, Fort Valley, Georgia.& She received her education at H.A. Hunt Elementary School. Gloria graduated from the Henry Alexander Hunt High School, Class of 1964. She furthered her education with a Bachelors Degree in 1981 and a Masters Degree in 1987 from the Fort Valley State College. She retired from teaching after 30 years in 2006.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Willie Mack Perry, Jr. on June 26, 1992.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Willie Mack Perry, Jr., her parents, a brother, Richard Davis and a sister, Ms. Shirley Davis.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two loving sons, Brandon C. (Tamekia) Jackson and William A. Perry; an adopted son, Milton Day; a sister, Marilyn (Preston D.) King; a niece and great-niece whom she raised as her own, Brandii Strong and Makelia Davis, grandaughters, Navoni Perry and Destiney Ingram, a mother-in-law, Minnie Pearl Perry, a loving devoted sister-in-law and caregiver LaFonda Short, two sisters-in-law, Maxine (Louis) Rogers and Sheryl Brown, a brother-in-law, Lonnie Ray Perry, Sr., one aunt, Odessa Solomon and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.
