Mr. Horace Thomas the son of the late Jimmy C. and Dennie Thomas was born March 22, 1955 in Fort Valley, Peach County, Georgia.& At an early age Horace accepted Christin his life and joined Richland Baptist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Peach County High School; after graduation he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked at Kraft Foods for more than 20 years. He later moved back to Fort Valley and began work at Southern Frozen Foods in Montezuma, Georgia for 10 years. Horace was also employed at Fort Valley State College in the Food Service Department where he remained until his health began to decline.

Horace was a people person; he always strived to make you feel comfortable. He always had a smile on his face and never got angry about any situation, not confrontation, he just smiled. Horace was a person that loved sweets especially pineapple cake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Dennie Thomas; one sister, Clara Thomas Davis and a brother, Robert Thomas.

On Sunday evening, January 15,2017 the earthly life of Horace our beloved: father, brother, uncle and friends was completed and he quietly journeyed for eternal rest. Horace made his departure from Navicent Health Care Center in Macon, Georgia.

Horace leave to celebrate his life and to cherish his memories: two children, Vasquez (Ta'Wanda) Thomas and Kristi Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Jade A. Thomas and Riley Wright of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Clemetene (Leon) Schofield, Jeanette (Fred) Merrell of Fort Valley, Georgia; three brothers, Alfonza Thomas, Jimmy (Carrie) Thomas and Morris (Gladys) Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia; aunt Eloise and unce Paul Pinkett of Chicago, Illinois; two special nieces that heloved and adored, Faith and Joi; a very special and loving friend, Terri Raines; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including two special friends, Pete Howard and Ronnie Plant.
