James Andrew Morgan was born on February 3, 1946 to the parents of the late Hawthorne and Mary B. Morgan.& He received his education in the Peach County Public School System. After graduating from high school he left Georgia and moved to New York to work with his Uncle in 1965 and returned to Georgia in the 80's.

James was affectionately known as "Spook", had a great talent for painting and worked with Dr. Walker in construction for more than 3 decades.

He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on October 2, 2009 and was baptized on December 6, 2009. He received an appreciation award for "Outstanding Service and Support" as well as "Man of the Year" in 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church. He served on the Usher and Greeter Boards. He was always willing and able to help anyone that he could. He gave a testimony of his life throughout the city about how the Lord used him before his demise.

James Andrew Morgan departed this life to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Thursday, July 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; Mary B. and Hawthorne Morgan Sr. , and older brother; David Morgan.

Sincere thanks to his sister, Ethel (Sam) Anderson for their devoted compassionate care and guidance throughout James illness.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, LaShonne Morgan-Green; son James Morgan Jr. and granddaughter, Isabella Morgan. Sister, Ethel (Sam) Anderson, Warner Robins, GA; brother Hawthorne (Lucille) Morgan, Fort Valley, GA; and sister-in-law Bernice Morgan, Warner Robins, GA. A host of nieces and nephews and a special friend Ms. Shelia Jones.
