IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James R
Stone
May 15, 1953 – November 18, 2024
James Rowland Stone, 71, passed peacefully Monday, November 18, 2024. James (lovingly known by family and friends alike as 'Mann') was born May 15, 1953. Mann lived about half of his life in Macon, Georgia, and the other half in Morristown, Tennessee. His magnetic personality and love for entertaining caused him to never meet a stranger. He was well known and loved for his astounding and captivating musical talent. Mann also wrote his own songs and the guitar was his main instrument. If you were fortunate enough to hear his beautiful voice at multiple Macon and Tennessee venues, you would never forget him.
While music was his passion, he worked alongside his father (James Lennon Stone, deceased) and brothers as a licensed plumber and installed swimming pools in Macon and was a successful sole entrepreneur in Tennessee.
Survivors are his two sons, Brad & Thad Stone; mother, Anne L. Stone; grandchildren, Dalton & Tyler Stone; great grandchildren, Ryland & Preston; sisters, Melody Searl & Kelli Coppock, and brothers, Steven & Brent Stone along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother-in-laws and extended family.
For those who had a chance to know him, you're the lucky ones!!! His contagious smile, charming personality, love for life and captivating voice inspired us all.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the legion.org in Mann's honor. https://mylegion.org/PersonifyEbusiness/Donate#legion-org
