With sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Jenette Clarke&Beard of 1380 Willville Road, Fort Valley, Georgia. Mrs. Beard passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia.

On July 12, 1943, Jenette Clarke Beard was welcomed into the world by her parents Sanford Clarke, Sr. (Crawford County) and Rosa Lee Woodard Clarke (Macon County).

She attended Crawford County Training School and continued her education at Fort Valley State College. With a degree in Science and Education, she was able to teach for a total of 35 years at Crawford County Schools. Jenette left lasting impressions on many of her students. In 1974, at the age of 31, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served at the Fort Valley Congregation for the remainder of her years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, visiting family, and writing letters.

Jenette leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Otis Beard, Sr., a son,Alton Beard (Marla) of Roberta, Georgia, step-daughter, Barbara Ann Brown of Fort Valley, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Allan Bernard Beard (Tangela) and Otis Beard, Jr., both of Fort Valley, Georgia. She also leaves a loving brother, Sanford B. Clarke (Gloria) of Atlanta, Georgia. Jenette had six siblings to precede her in death; Lillie Mae Clarke, Ula Mae Clarke, Connie Clarke, Annie Ruth Clarke, Thelma Lee Clarke, and one brother, Charles Dennis Clarke.

Jenette cherished and loved all her grandkids; Mikayla Beard, Damien Beard, Victoria Beard, Demetria Brown, and Willie Brown. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10:00 am until5:00 pm in the CJ Edwards Memorial Chapel

The family will be having a virtual Memorial Service via zoom onTuesday, February 8, 2021 at 6:30 pm
