The Obituary


Mr. Jonathan Hollingshed was born April 17, 1976 to the parents of the late Wesley Hollingshed, III and Otha Mae Stanley Hollingshed. He resided in Fort Valley, Georgia. Jonathan was currently employed at the United States Postal Service. He received an Associate Degree at Central Georgia Technical College; he also matriculated at Fort Valley State University.


He was a loving and devoted father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend. He had a passion for music (DJ). He was well known in the community for his involvement in Shed's Banners and More. Jonathan was also known for his upbeat personality and caring heart.


He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Wesley Hollingshed, IV and his eldest daughter Jakayla Hollingshed. &On Sunday, February 28, 2016 while a patient at Navient Health Medical Center, Jonathan entered the silent halls of death. He was gone before we knew it and only God knows why. Wehave the blessed hope that we'll see him again.


He leaves to cherish to cherish his memories his lovely wife, Cheryl Hollingshed of Fort Valley, GA; his children, Janeisha and Jonathan Hollinshed, Jr both of Reynolds, GA; two stepchildren, Dontrell and Antacia Clark both of Norfolk, Virginia; grandson, DeMarcus Clark of Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, Terry Hollingshed, Sr., Sheldon (Debra) Hollingshed all of Stockbridge, Georgia, Adrian Hollingshed (Fiance Shenicka) of Athens, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and abundance of friends
