With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Johnnie Mae Brown Marshall, a loving and devoted wife and mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched.& Johnnie Mae gained her angelic wings and took flight on Saturday, February 27, 2021, after a brief illness while in Tennova Hospital, Clarksville, TN. She left us while we stood around her adoringly, bidding her farewell. We wanted her to stay but the call of the Master was greater. She was in her 85th year of age.

Johnnie Mae or "Mama JJ" as she was tenderly called by her grandchildren, is survived by her sister, Mattie Lou General, brother-in-law Bura (Mary) Marshall, White Plains, New York, sisters-in-law, Gladys Davis, Miami, FL and Bettie Marshall of Fort Valley. She further leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Wanda (Donald) Snead, Clarksville, TN, Lisa (Darrell) Williams, Indian Head, MD and Sylvia (Allen) Lewis, Little Rock, AR; stepson, Jimmy Lee Scott, Georgetown, GA; five grandchildren, Ursula & Jarhett (Latoya) Snead, Brian & Jason Booker and Allen (Trey) Lewis III; two step-grandchildren Sarita & Jimmie Lee Scott, Jr.; three great-granddaughters, Jayla, Jeianira, & Jayana Mae Snead, four step-great-grandchildren, her Godson, JohnBanter, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the eleven o'clock hour with graveside services at Willow Lake Memorial Gardens, Fort Valley, Georgia. The family will receive guests and friends from five o'clock pm through seven o'clock pm, Friday evening March 5th at C.J. Edwards Funeral Home.
