Byron, Georgia - Funeral services for Mr. Jonnie Woodson will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Byron, Georgia. &Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Our Heavenly Father, who is perfect in all ways, gifted the lives of Dock Sr. and Annie Ruth Woodson on November 23, 1944 with the gift of another son, John L. Woodson.

John was a hard worker and at the age of 19, he was employed with Bill Flowers as a Drywall Finisher. He worked for Bill for many years until his retirement. He joined the First Baptist Church at an early age. He married Elizabeth Woodson on October 7, 2002. John and BooBoo, as she is called, has been a couple for 27 years. One his favorite pasttimes was watching the Westerns on television and riding his bicycle.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2015, God called our angel home to be with his parents and other family members. He was preceded in death by his only sone, Anthony Brown. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Dock Woodson, Sr. and Annie Ruth; his sister Mattie Ruth; and his brothers S.T.; Willie Joe; Roy; J.W.; Tommy; and Felton.

He loved and utilized his bicycle and exercised each morning. He had many friends that looked after his well-being. He was a people person. His entourage of friends and help mates was Dana Logan, Kenisha Logan, Marixa Logan, Sandra Green, Sammie & Jerry Price, and his favorite gathering spot after his bicycle ride, Mickey Moore, a very special cousin, Michelle Moore, and a very giving cousin, Shirley Bell.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, a loving wife, Elizabeth Woodson; a brother, Dock, Jr. (Janie); two sisters, Helen Woodson and Mary Lee (Gregory) Loew, all of Byron. An aunt, Aunt Francis of Florida; Sisters-in-law, Patsy Woodson of Florida; Mary Lee Woodson, Warner Robins, GA; Ruth Woodson, Cordele, GA; Eva Woodson, Centerville; Millie Fisher (Roy) and Deborah Crawford, Phoenix, AR; Carolyn Kellley (Marvin), Memphis, TN; and Delores McLemore, Warner Robins, GA; Brothers-in-law, William L. Crawford, Phoenix , AR; William D Crawford (Claudette) Memphis, TN; and James Boyd, Warner Robins, GA

He also has a host of niecies, nephews, cousins, and other family members and his God Grandchildren, Jazlyn, Myla, and Brycen.
