Larry Dewberry was born on June 21, 1953, in Roberta, Georgia to the parentage of the late Willie L. and Jessie Dewberry. At an early age, he confessed Jesus Christ as his savior and joined the Cool Springs Baptist Church.
Larry was educated in the Peach County School System. He was a graduate of Peach County High School, class of 1971. Upon graduation from high school Larry enlistedin the United States Army from 1971 - 1977 and washonorably discharged. After faithfully serving his country, he returned home to Fort Valley. He was formeremployee ofBlue Bird Body Company and did seasonal work.
Mr. Dewberry passed way quietly at home surrounded by his loved ones on April 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie L. andJessie Dewberry,three siblings; Cora, Roger, and Anthony Dewberry.
To know Larry was to love him. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, and he had a great sense of humor.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, four children, Anica Dewberry; Jaquez Rumph; Krystal Wynn; Kenyatta Rumph; four grandchildren,D'Audra Dewberry, Ayanna Dewberry, Makaya Whitfield, Michael Whitfield; siblings, Deborah Dawson; Delphine (Samuel) McKenzie; Curtis (Linda) Dewberry; Charles (Shelby) Dewberry; aunts, Dorothy Jackson; Charity Phillips; Virda Mitchell; Laura Dixon; two uncles, Freddie (Gracie) Glover; Johnny (Gloria) Glover and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
