Obituary

When the sun rose on May 1, 1933; God looked down on Earth and saw fit for an angel "our beloved Letha Mae Hooten Law" to be born.& She lit up the face of her mother Pearl Lee Hunt and her father Robert Law, who both preceded her in death. Letha Mae Law attended the public school system of Macon County. She accepted Christ in her life on April of 1966 and joined Bethel Baptist Church in Marshallville, Georgia. In 1949 Letha joined Mr. Loonie Hooten in holy matrimony. Letha was employed in agriculture for 42 years and as a CNA for five years until she retired in 1993 from Roberta Nursing Home. Letha was an easy to get along with person with a brilliant personality. On Saturday night November 5, 2016, again God looked down on earth and saw fit for His angel to return home and "our beloved' quietly departed this earth for eternal rest. During the life of Letha 5 children were born: Harlena Askew who preceded her in death, Andrew (Cheryl) Hooten, Bonaire, GA, Pearlie Gordon of Jamestown, NY, Joyce Cephus, Byron, GA and Henry Hooten, Dunkirk, NY.
