& Martha Frances McKenzie Freeman

Mrs. Martha Freeman daughter of the late Ida Mae Green McKenzie and Fletcher McKenzie Sr. was born March 5th 1948 in Fort Valley, GA. She grew up and was educated in Fort Valley, Ga. She later married Barry Freeman Sr. and to the union three children was born. She was a loving and devoted wife for over 33 years until he was called home by the Lord.

Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and devoted mother for over 47 years until her health failed her. She was a very loving and compassionate person who enjoyed reading, writing and listening to old music. One thing she was compassionated about was her grandchildren, she really loved her grandchildren.

On June 22nd 2017, she departed this life and went to her Father's house where there are many mansions. She leaves to cherish her memories her three children: one daughter Aretha Freeman, two sons: Barry Freeman Jr. and Gregory (Milika) Freeman. Two sisters: Hattie McKenzie of Macon, Ga and Bertha Battle of Perry, GA. Four brothers: William McKenzie of Fort Valley, GA, Rufus McKenzie, Otis McKenzie and Fletcher McKenzie Jr, all of Miami, Fl. Four grandchildren: GerKevia Freeman, Kalandra Freeman, Janavai Glover and Ezekiel Ross. One sister-in-law: Doreatha Oats. One Uncle: Jimmy Green and a host of other nieces, cousins and other family members.

She was also preceded in death by her parents: Ida and Fletcher McKenzie Sr., one sister: Annie Mae Snipes, three brothers: Theodore McKenzie, Emmitt McKenzie and Jimmy McKenzie.
