Fort Valley, Georgia - Mrs. Mary Nell Brown was born&June 21, 1945 in Midway, AL to the late Mr. Willie Lee Gilberry and Louise Streeter Gilberry. She attended Hunt High School of Peach County.

She was employed with the Bibb County Board of Education. Mrs. Brown joined and attended St. John Baptist Church of Fort Valley, Georgia until her health began to decline.

Mrs. Brown departed her earthly bound life on Sunday, July 3, 2016.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Russ Gay and Mrs. Briety Pearl Cross and two brothers, Mr. Odell Streeter, Sr., and Mr.Curtis Smith.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories:two sisters, Mrs. Inell Troupe and Mrs. Sybil Lee Dickson and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene Streeter. She has three children she reared as her own, Jason Muhammad, Melinda Cross, and Christian Durham; and devoted nieces: Sandra (Shakim) Cobb and Alleria Simpson and a host of other niecies and nephews; two devoted cousins, Mr. Henry (Dee) Williams and Mr. Lee (Tammy) Williams; two very devoted friends of Fort Valley, Ga, Mrs. Mary Robinson and Mrs. Sandra Eilum, and a host of other relatives, family, and many sorrowing friends.
