Fort Valley, Georgia -&It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Mattie Williams of 1878 State University Drive.Mrs. Mattie Williams passed away on Wednesday, April1, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be complying with Governor Brian KempEmergency Guideline Mandates, the Centers for Disease Control, and Department of Public Health;thereby, electing to have a graveside service inan effort to attempt to minimize the exposure of the general public to COVID-19.

The graveside services for Mrs. Mattie Williams will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 11:00 am at Willowlake Memorial Gardens Cemeteryin Fort Valley, Georgia. Visitation will be conducted at the C.J.Edwards Funeral Home Chapel beginning on MondayApril 6, 2020 beginning at 12 noon to 3 pm. We are asking for everyone to practice social distancing and for under 10 people to assembleor congregate at a single given time. Everyone is asked to view in staggered time increments. The funeral home will provide a hand washing station and hand sanitizer for the public. Please be safe!
