Mertant Earl "Junie" Benjamin, Jr. was born November 13, 1975 to Mertant Sr. and Dorothy Adora Benjamin of St. Croix U.S. Virgin Island. He drew in the Estate Profit (Machuchai) and Strawberry Hill Community of Christiansted. Junie attended the public schools of St. Croix. At a young age, he and his family relocated to the United States.
In June of 2016, Mr. Benjamin was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life Arlesha Redding.
Mr. Benjamin was a devoted employee of QSI Company contracted at Perdue Farms, Perry, Georgia where he served as Supervisor from September 14, 2011, until his demise.
Junie was a proud Caribbean man with a large appetite; not only for his beloved mother's legendary West Indian cooking but for the good times shared with his close family and childhood friends. He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor, kindness and the much-appreciated ability to earn a smile from a stranger or friend.

Mr. Mertant E. Benjamin, Jr. transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2019.
His memories will forever be cherished: his devoted wife, Mrs. Arlesha Redding Benjamin; his mother, Ms. Dorothy Benjamin, Kingshill, US Virgin Island; stepmother, Ms. Cynthia Benjamin, New York, NY; father and mother-in-law, Mr. Willie and Mrs.Carol Mathews, Fort Valley, GA; four children: Gabriel Benjamin, Atlanta, GA, Joseph Rainey and Makayla Drake both of Fort Valley, GA and Amia Benjamin, Macon, GA; two sisters,Mrs. Rochelle Amedee, St. Croix US Virgin Island and Ms.Teneka Benjamin, NY,NY; sister-in-law, Ms. Kellie Mathews, Fort Valley, GA; brothers-in-law, Mr. Roger Amedee, Mr. Prentis Amedee and Mr. Marcus Mathews (Helen); his Virgin Island crew of family: Mr. Brad Nugent, Mr. Alden Peterson, Mr. Darren Peterson, Mr. Danny Nieves, Mr. Rolando Huertas, Ms.Althea Tutien, Ms. Jennifer Mitchell and Mr. Omari Daley. A loving god-son, Mr. Jonas Smith, US, Virgin Island. A host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
