Ms. Ozzie Marie Mathis passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017.& Memorial Services for Ms. Mathis will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in the Sanctuary of the Church of the Living God at 12:00 PM..

Ozzie Marie Mathis was born October 1, 1972 in Houston County to Mrs. Jewel Mathis and the late Mr. Walter Ben (Red) Mathis, Sr.

Ozzie Marie Mathis graduated from Peach County High School. She graduated Cum Lade from Fort Valley State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics. While attending F.V.S.U. she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Ozzie finished her education from the University of Tennessee with a Master in Agriculture Economics.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Jewel Mathis, Byron, GA; one sister, Roni Mathis Carr, Fort Valley, GA; two brothers, Walter Ben Mathis, Jr. and Opie Benjamin Mathis both of Fort Valley, GA; one nephew, Christopher Wayne Carr of Fort Valley, GA; aunts, uncles and countless other relatives and friends.
