Ms. Ruby Jean Hill-Ragan was born to parents Wylene Hill and John Hill. She was raised and educated in Peach County Fort Valley, Georgia. Ruby graduated from H.A. Hunt High School. She furthered her education and received her Business certification from Macon Technical School. She began work for Fort Valley State University in the Agricultural Research Department; where she worked for over 30 years.

Ruby answered the Call on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Emory Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.

She is survived by her daughter Robin Ragan and son John Ragan (Macon). Granddaughters Shalia Ragan, Taleigha Ragan (All of Atlanta), Domonique Johnson (Colorado), Kyerra Bond (Atlanta). Grandsons Taron Ragan, Angelo Ragan, Tyrik Nubin (All of Atlanta) Great-Granddaughters: Erin Nubin (Atlanta) and Zoe Sanders (Colorado).
