Fort Valley, Georgia - With sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Willie Corey, Jr. of 5739 Walton Road.

SGT Willie Corey Jr, son of the late Mr. Willie and Mr. Betty Jean Corey was born October 19, 1964 in Fort Valley, Peach County Georgia.& He was a graduate of the Peach County High School Class of1983. Early in life SGT Corey joined the United States Army, where he served for 21 years. After he retired from the U.S. Army, he joined the Georgia Army National Guard where he served for many years. Later, he became gainfully employed with the Blue Bird Body Co., where he remained until his passing. SGT Willie Corey Jr. loved cars, and anything that ran fast. If you couldn't reach Willie, he was either drag racing or in his shop building his next racing engine. In 2013 he started Corey's Racing auto repair where he became licensed in his passion-racing. Willie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents his Granddaughter Alana Joy Corey preceded him in death. On Sunday, January 3, 2021, our beloved father SGT Willie Corey, Jr. entered eternal rest at his home. Memories of SGT Willie Corey Jr. will forever be cherished by: two sons, Victor Corey (Dynasty) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Dy'Juan Taylor (Yamilla) of Fort Sill, OKC; two daughters, Ty'Zieria Sanders of Norfolk VA and Sha'Lonie Davis of Pinehurst GA; one brother Gary Corey of Fort Valley, GA; two sisters, Sandra Corey of Fort Valley, GA , and Kathey Corey of Atlanta, GA; three Grandkids, Harmony Corey, Rashaad Taylor, and Victor Corey Jr. a devoted friend Carlos Mitchel; a host of nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
